Purpose

Gambia Political Pulse · Straw Poll is an independent, informal online public-opinion poll about political-party preference. It is not an election, an IEC process, a scientific survey or an election forecast.

Who may participate

Participation is open globally. Participants are asked about citizenship, age range, gender and current region or location, but these answers are self-reported and are not verified. Age, voter registration, identity and physical location are also not verified. Responses may come from Gambians, members of the diaspora and non-Gambians.

What the results mean

Published figures describe only responses accepted by this website. They must not be interpreted as the views of all Gambians, registered voters or the national electorate, and they must not be extrapolated into an election result.

Duplicate and abuse controls

The platform uses browser and network-derived signals, request limits, database uniqueness controls, cryptographic receipts and audit events to reduce repeated or automated submissions. These measures cannot prove that each response comes from a unique person and cannot eliminate all manipulation.

Privacy

The ballot requests broad demographic categories but does not request a name, citizenship document, voter card or precise GPS location. Technical security data are used only to protect the poll and are not displayed with political preferences.

Transparency

Approved political-party technical observers receive guided, read-only access to aggregate totals and audit events. They cannot modify responses, access raw security identifiers or connect an individual to a preference.
